This stunning MK1 Escort Rally Car arrived having already had the panel work completed by the customer and ready for a full refinish.

First, we carried out some minor imperfection panel work in preparation for applying a full Primer Coating.

We applied an ‘Innotec’ Spray Sealer to the seams, followed by a light Tintable ‘Raptor’ Coating to the underside.

We then prepared the vehicle for a primer application, before preparing the vehicle for colour coat in ‘Ermine White’, which included the doors, boot and bonnet.

After the doors had been assembled to the body tub, we then prepared each side for the more challenging part of this project. This was to carefully mask out and paint a Full Body Side Stripe with Outer Pinstripe in ‘Grabber’ Blue.

Finally, we lacquered the entire shell before machine polishing it and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. “
